Science
- Chief Law Assistant: University Degree in Law with 3 years standing practice as a Pleader at Bar. Serving Railway employees who are Law Graduates with atleast 5 years service are also eligible.
- Public Prosecutor: Graduate with Bachelor degree in Law from recognized University and with five years standing as an advocate at Bar.
- Junior Translator (Hindi): Master’s Degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as compulsory/elective subject at Degree level OR Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory subjects. Additionally, recognized Diploma/Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa OR 2 years experience of translation work in Central/State Government offices.
- Senior Publicity Inspector: Degree from recognized University and Diploma in Public Relations/Advertising/Journalism/Mass Communication from recognized institution. Desirable: 2 years experience in related fields.
- Staff and Welfare Inspector: Graduation plus any one of the following: Diploma in Labour/Social Welfare, Diploma in Labour Laws, LLB with papers in Labour Laws, PG Diploma in Personnel Management, MBA with papers in Personnel Management, MBA/HR, or PG Diploma in Human Resource Management.
- Scientific Assistant (Training): Second Class Master’s Degree in Psychology with one year experience in Administration of Psychological tests. Desirable: Knowledge of Computers and Statistics, Specialisation in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
- Lab Assistant Grade III (Chemist and Metallurgist): 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with Science (Physics and Chemistry) as subjects.
- Scientific Supervisor (Ergonomics and Training): Second Class Masters Degree in Psychology or Physiology with two years experience in Administration of Psychological Tests OR research in Work Psychology OR experience in Developing Training Module or Conducting Training Programme. Desirable: Specialization in Industrial Psychology, Ergonomics/Counseling with knowledge of Statistics and Computers.
Salary/Stipend
- Chief Law Assistant: Pay Level 7 – Rs. 44,900 per month (Initial Pay as per 7th CPC)
- Public Prosecutor: Pay Level 7 – Rs. 44,900 per month
- Junior Translator (Hindi): Pay Level 6 – Rs. 35,400 per month
- Senior Publicity Inspector: Pay Level 6 – Rs. 35,400 per month
- Staff and Welfare Inspector: Pay Level 6 – Rs. 35,400 per month
- Scientific Assistant (Training): Pay Level 6 – Rs. 35,400 per month
- Lab Assistant Grade III: Pay Level 2 – Rs. 19,900 per month
- Scientific Supervisor: Pay Level 7 – Rs. 44,900 per month
- Selected candidates will undergo training where prescribed and during training period only stipend will be paid as applicable

Selection Process
- Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Translation Test (for Junior Translator Hindi only – Qualifying in nature with 60% pass marks)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination as per prescribed medical standards
- CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions (120 minutes for candidates using scribe)
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deduction for each wrong answer
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS: 40%, OBC-NCL: 30%, SC: 30%, ST: 25%
- Shortlisting for DV will be based on merit in CBT
- For Junior Translator, 10 times the vacancies will be called for Translation Test based on CBT merit

- Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualifications as on the closing date (29/01/2026)
- Candidates awaiting final results should NOT apply
- Only one application per RRB is allowed; multiple applications will lead to rejection
- Admission to all stages is purely provisional subject to eligibility verification
- Free sleeper class railway pass admissible to SC/ST candidates
- Candidates must authenticate identity using Digilocker or Aadhaar during account creation
- Valid personal mobile number and active email ID mandatory for entire recruitment process
- Medical standards B1, C1, and C2 apply to different posts as specified
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD as per government norms
- Use of unfair means will lead to lifetime debarment from RRB/RRC examinations
- Candidates serving in Government/PSU must produce NOC at time of Document Verification

- Submit the application and note down the registration number
- Take printout of submitted application for future reference
- Modification allowed with Rs. 250 fee during modification window (01/02/2026 to 10/02/2026)
- Details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form and chosen RRB cannot be modified
